The largest Balearic island, Majorca, lies embedded in the Mediterranean near the western coast of Spain. It is regarded as the most beautiful and varied of the four islands, where everyone's dream holiday comes true. The capital Palma is a particular highlight, with its lovely Old Town and the world-famous cathedral. Long, fine sandy beaches in the north and east invite one to bathe and relax, and are particularly popular with families. Young people and party-lovers gather in the south, whereas the western landscape is rough and bizarrely beautiful. Water sports fans, passionate cyclists and hikers, too, simply have to love Majorca. Last but not least, the Majorcan way of life and outstanding local cuisine turn the Balearic Islands into a veritable holiday experience. Santa Ponça - A Mediterranean paradise!
The holiday resort of Santa Ponça is located in the pine forested south-west of the island. During the day, the fine sandy bay "Cala Santa Ponca", with bizarre rocks is a popular place to go for bathers. Around the resort centre, behind the beach, is where all the tourist activities are. Here there are numerous restaurants, bars, discos, as well as shopping areas. Somewhat further out of the centre, the scenery is defined by luxurious villas and apartments.
